Christ Is Not Weak

Good morning! Today we will continue our reading in 2 Corinthians. Join me as we begin the final chapter. Have a wonderful day.

“This is the third time I am coming to visit you (and as the Scriptures say, “The facts of every case must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses”[a]). I have already warned those who had been sinning when I was there on my second visit. Now I again warn them and all others, just as I did before, that next time I will not spare them.

I will give you all the proof you want that Christ speaks through me. Christ is not weak when he deals with you; he is powerful among you. Although he was crucified in weakness, he now lives by the power of God. We, too, are weak, just as Christ was, but when we deal with you we will be alive with him and will have God’s power.” – 2 Corinthians 13:1-4 NLT

Paul was sure of God’s power. He knew in himself that he was weak. He knew only God could give him the power he needed to stand in faith against those who were challenging his apostleship. Sisters and brothers, we will face many challenges in our Christian walk and faith. However, the example of Paul reminds us to increase our faith so that we may understand and experience the type of confidence Paul had in God’s power.

Who or what is challenging you today? _______

  • belt of truth
  • the breastplate of righteousness
  • shoes of peace
  • shield of faith
  • helmet of salvation
  • sword of the spirit

and keep praying.

Father God, thank you for today. Thank you for another opportunity to stand in faith knowing you are greater than anything we face. Lord, thank you for loving us. You know we need you. Even when we turn away or fall back into old habits, you carefully guide us back to you. Lord, don’t give up on us. Continue to call us and direct our steps. Lead us to the place of peace that we can only find in you. Stable our minds and calm our souls. Lord, continue to heal the sick. Lord, give wisdom to those who need to make decisions that will impact lives and livelihoods. Lord, you are the cure for what we need. Inject us with your love, compassion, grace, mercy, faith and power. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep praying, the Lord hears you! Keep seeking! Keep trusting the process!
