Greetings

Happy Tuesday! Today concludes our final review of 1 Corinthians. It has taken us several months to read chapter by chapter and verse by verse, but it was worth reading and applying. Join me as we read Paul’s final words in the first letter to the Corinthian church.

19 The churches here in the province of Asia[f] send greetings in the Lord, as do Aquila and Priscilla[g] and all the others who gather in their home for church meetings. 20 All the brothers and sisters here send greetings to you. Greet each other with a sacred kiss.

21 HERE IS MY GREETING IN MY OWN HANDWRITING—PAUL.

22 If anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed. Our Lord, come![h]

23 May the grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.

24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus.[i]

Over Thanksgiving we gave a lot of greetings and received many greetings. As we get closer to Christmas we will hear people say Season’s Greeting. Sisters and brothers as we go through the day and month, let us greet one another in godly love. Let us show compassion for the lost and broken. Let us care for our sisters and brothers in the faith. Let us never cease praying for our loved ones, neighbors and friends to declare Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

Today’s challenge:

Who will you greet today with authentic godly love? _____________

Father God, thank you for your love, grace and mercy. No one loves us like you love us. Lord, you are great in all the earth. Lord, teach us your ways. Lord, our provider – protect and provide for our families. Lord, cover those who are missing and bring them home. Lord, release the women, men and children trapped in human trafficking. Lord, set them free and give life to the ones who have been broken and shattered by horrific crimes against them. Lord, heal and restore them. Lord, continue to work in our churches and transform them to be a church that is pleasing to you. Lord, we pray for those who have lost direction or motivation in life. Lord, we ask that you heal their minds and hearts. Lord, breathe new life into them. Lord, help them to hear from you and act in obedience.

Lord, you are our anchor. Strengthen us in a mighty way so that we may love and serve you and your people. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep praying! Keep Trusting! Keep believing!
