Don’t Wither Away

Good morning! Have you ever been hungry? I mean so hungry you could eat anything. Maybe once you left something in the refrigerator and was waiting all day to sink your teeth into it. When you got home, you rushed to the kitchen opened the refrigerator door only to find out, the precious meal you were ready to eat was thrown away while someone was cleaning out the refrigerator? Talk about disappointing moments. Well, today we will continue to read Matthew 21. Enjoy!

“18 In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry, 19 and he noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” And immediately the fig tree withered up.

20 The disciples were amazed when they saw this and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?”

21 Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. 22 You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”” – Matthew 21:18-22 NLT

Lord, by faith we believe your word is true and trust that even when doubt comes in, your word will be here. Lord, when we are hungry for your word, sustain us and help to bear great fruit. Lord, don’t let us wither and die, refresh us. Lord, increase our faith and give us the strength to move the mountains that are hindering our growth and relationship with you. Lord, teach us to be faithful servants who bear fruit. May are hearts love as you love. Lord, change us and fill us with more of you. In Jesus name, amen!

Keep praying, the Lord hears you! Keep seeking! Keep trusting the process!
