Wiser Than My Enemies

Good morning! It’s a great day to seek the Lord.  Enjoy today’s devotion and your time with the Lord today.

97 Oh, how I love your instructions!
    I think about them all day long.
98 Your commands make me wiser than my enemies,
    for they are my constant guide.
99 Yes, I have more insight than my teachers,
    for I am always thinking of your laws.
100 I am even wiser than my elders,
    for I have kept your commandments.
101 I have refused to walk on any evil path,
    so that I may remain obedient to your word.
102 I haven’t turned away from your regulations,
    for you have taught me well.
103 How sweet your words taste to me;
    they are sweeter than honey.
104 Your commandments give me understanding; no wonder I hate every false way of life.” Psalm 119:97-104 NLT

The Bible (the word of God) is our ammunition against our enemies. Our greatest enemy lurks around seeking to destroy and plant seeds of doubt. The word of God keeps us locked and loaded, equipped and prepared to listen to the truth about our God more than the lies the enemy would have us believe. Keep your eyes focused on the Lord our God and Savior. He will deliver us from the hands of our enemies.

Father God, thank you for your careful instruction and wisdom. Lord, thank you for your Holy Spirit who guides us in all of our ways. Lord, when we are distracted by the urgency of life and feel the need to make immediate decisions, remind us to seek your instructions and follow your lead every day.  Lord, continue to keep us aligned with your will for our lives. Lord, make us bold and give us understanding so that we will be effective for the kingdom. Lord, we trust you are wiser and greater than our enemies. Lord, deliver us from our enemies snare. Lord, teach us and change us. In Jesus name, amen!

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
