Love Story Part IV

Happy Resurrection Day! The tomb is empty. He is Risen!

24 But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.

The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.” Luke 24:1-7 NLT

44 Then he said, When I was with you before, I told you that everything written about me in the law of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms must be fulfilled. 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.46 And he said, Yes, it was written long ago that the Messiah would suffer and die and rise from the dead on the third day. 47 It was also written that this message would be proclaimed in the authority of his name to all the nations, beginning in Jerusalem: ‘There is forgiveness of sins for all who repent.’48 You are witnesses of all these things.” Luke 24 :44-48.

As we remember and celebrate the third day – the day Jesus defeated death and offered all who repent forgiveness of sins, don’t forget how much the Lord loves you.

There is no greater love, than the love the Lord has for his children. The greatest love comes from God. He has made a way for us to be with him for eternity. Today is the perfect day to say Lord, forgive me of my sins, when I die I want to make sure I spend eternity with you.

The Bible says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10 NLT

If you believe this, pray with me:

“Father God, thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to save us. Lord, we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is your son, and that he died on the cross that we may be forgiven and have eternal life. Father God, we believe Jesus rose from the dead and we ask you to come into our lives to be our Lord and Savior. Father God, we repent of our sins and because your word is true we confess that we are born again believers and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.” Amen.

If this is the first time you prayed this prayer, I want to welcome you to the family of God. I encourage you to get involved in your local Bible believing and teaching church to surround yourself with a healthy body of Christian believers. Also, send me an email so that a member of my team or I can connect with you. Email: contactus@maryewhiteministries.com

Father God we thank you for the inheritance of you. We thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins so that we may have eternal life. Lord, your ways are far beyond our own. Continue to teach us in ways that only you can. Guide our thoughts and motives and let them align with yours. Lord, when the world shakes around us, let us not be moved. Help us to fix our eyes on you. In Jesus name, amen!

Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
