Good morning! Today is Friday, will you let the Lord take the lead?
“8 I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. 9 Do not be like a horse or a mule, without understanding, whose temper must be curbed with bit and bridle, else it will not stay near you. 10 Many are the torments of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds those who trust in the Lord. 11 Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart.” Psalm 32:8-11 NLT
Do you have decisions to make? _____
If so, today and throughout the weekend think about the decisions you need to make. Write them down and pray over them. Then spend time with Lord and allow him to counsel and guide you on the next steps.
Lord, you know and see everything. From the beginning to the end, you know each of our stories. Lord, you know our learning style, how we receive information and the best way to explain things to us. Lord, you never leave or forsake us, and you guide us with perfect love and a careful eye. Lord today will you show us the way you want us to go. Will you counsel us on the decisions we need to make and will you unfold your purpose and plan for us so that we may pursue those things that please you with our whole heart? Lord, we trust you in various areas of our lives, but we want to trust you with everything. Lord, whatever is ahead, we trust you to be the same God who loves us today. Lord, when we don’t understand all the details or the reason for a particular season in our lives, comfort us, give us peace and strengthen our faith as we seek you for counsel and surrender our will and anger to you. Lord, be with the people whose family members and friends were killed or injured in the school shooting in Florida. Lord, send an army of angels to comfort them and bring them peace. Lord, be with others around the world who need you. Lord, help us to serve you with our whole heart. Equip us and send us out to be your hands and feet in this broken world. Lord, continue your work in our lives – change us. In Jesus name, amen.
