Good morning! “They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.” 2 Peter 3:5-7 NLT
The scoffers and unbelievers prefer to live their own way. Condemning believers who follow Christ. They look for every opportunity to point blame, but they won’t open the word/Bible to read the truth. The word says “they are being kept for the day of judgment,” which is true, however many unbelievers are considered our mission while we are here on earth. This world is our mission field until the Lord returns. As you listen to people and will sometimes say they need Jesus also remember how much you need him too. Pray for those people. Share the word with them when opportunities arise. Don’t be complacent, be active in your faith – share the word of God.
Let us continue to be faithful in prayer. Faithful in:
- our personal walk with the Lord.
- seeking opportunities to minister to the least, last and the lost.
- reading the word of God.
Lord God, thank you for another morning. Thank you for your word and faithfulness. Thank you for saving us when we were dead in our sins. Lord we lift up those who are not walking with you or have not surrendered their lives to you. I pray Lord that you will give us wisdom and boldness to speak your truth. Discernment for times when we can be more effective in our prayers for unbelievers. Lord continue to strengthen our faith. Guide us on this mission. Protect us from the plots of the evil one. Calm the storms around us. Shelter us from harm. Lord continue to be with us, our families and brothers and sisters in the faith. In Jesus name, Amen!
Keep praying! Keep trusting God’s promises! Keep seeking God’s truth!
