Good Morning! “For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment. And God did not spare the ancient world—except for Noah and the seven others in his family. Noah warned the world of God’s righteous judgment. So God protected Noah when he destroyed the world of ungodly people with a vast flood.” 2 Peter 2:4-5 NLT
Our God is patient and loving. He is also fully aware of our hearts and motives. God will not sit silent and allow the wicked to prevail. He will bring judgment on false teachers and their deceitful ways. However, as Christians we must not be discouraged, we must continue to live a life that honors the Lord. Continue to obedient to the Lord even when it’s difficult. Even when you are mocked like Noah, keep living for the Lord – Noah’s righteousness caused the Lord to preserve Noah’s life and his family.
Father God, as we go throughout the day and the weekend open our eyes to see you, help us to hear from you and guide us to be obedient to your direction for our lives. Lord protect us from the wicked, keep us and strengthen our faith in you. Lord when things appear to be overwhelming help us to be patient, give us tools to work through those difficult times, but most of all cover us with your peace. Lord touch our hearts – heal the brokenness. Help us to be Christ-like in all our ways. Lord cover our families and let us feel your presence. In Jesus name, Amen!
