Good morning! Sometimes when we go through difficulties we need to remember, there is another in the fire.

Scripture reminder:

“¹⁶ Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you. ¹⁷ If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty. ¹⁸ But even if he doesn’t, we want to make it clear to you, Your Majesty, that we will never serve your gods or worship the gold statue you have set up.”” – Daniel 3:16-18 NLT

If you have more time, read Daniel Chapter 3 in its entirety. You will not be disappointed, you will simply be reminded that whatever you are going through, there is another in the fire. “So Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stepped out of the fire. ²⁷ Then the high officers, officials, governors, and advisers crowded around them and saw that the fire had not touched them. Not a hair on their heads was singed, and their clothing was not scorched. They didn’t even smell of smoke!”

Prayer

Father God, thank you for being with us during the fires in our lives, and while they may not be literal fires- you were with us during our difficulties. Lord, we thank you for being who you are – our rescuer, protector, and or peace. We thank you for showing up when things are beyond our control and we are able to find peace when we turn to you for guidance and help. Lord, every prayer we pray is because we know that you are faithful and your word says that you hear our prayers. Lord, remind us to be faithful in our walk like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Just as you came through for them we know you will come through for us.

Lord, we pray for all the children who are getting ready for the new school year. Lord, lead them in the way they should go. Bless their hearts and minds, and remove anxiety and worry about the school year. Lord, be with parents/guardians as they make arrangements for child care, before and after school care, sports, transportation, meet teachers, adjust schedules to ensure their kids are safe and cared for, and for their children heading to college. Lord, bless them with the finances that they need for school, before and after school care, to buy school clothes, back packs, etc.

Lord, we continue to pray for those seeking employment opportunities, promotions, healthy work environments, and improved relationships with their peers and bosses. Lord, cover them and give them peace in their work environment. Provide for those who need financial increase in their paychecks, be with companies that are struggling financially and ensure the owners and staff bring home paychecks. Lord, be with those who are starting businesses or just getting them off the ground. Lord, bless them with clients and opportunities to enhance their skills and services.
