Good morning! Sometimes the weight of this world is too heavy, however we can choose to meditate on his word.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in him.” The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” Lamentations 3:22-25 ESV

Great is your faithfulness Lord! We trust – new mercies are on the way.

Prayer
Father God, we thank you for your faithfulness and mercy. Thank you for being our strength. Even when things are difficult and out of our control we know that we can turn to you and find peace. Your love never ceases and your peace is always available to us. Lord, remind us of the rest that you offer and give, and help us to seek it and receive it. Lord, remind us of the strength that you provide, so that we don’t attempt to do everything in our own strength – we need you. Lord, remind us that you are with us, and that we are never alone.

Lord, we ask today that you will be with us this day and weekend. Lord, touch our hearts, our lives, and may we seek ways to serve you and others. Lord, help us to continually share the gospel message and the love that you offer to everyone in the world. Lord, protect us and shield us from Satan’s attacks on our lives and family. Lord, cover our homes and our hearts so that we will remain focused on you.
Lord, we pray for families who have been impacted by tragedy. Lord, heal their hearts and work everything out for your/our good. Lord, there are many missing and exploited children and adults right now. Lord, help us to act vigilantly against the predators who are kidnapping them and bring our missing children, adults, and family home. Lord, protect and help us to protect our children from criminal activities and actions against them. Lord, disrupt these organizations and create chaos so that they are unable to function. Help our law enforcement teams and non-profits to find those who are missing and return them home with the counseling, love and support that they will need.

Lord, be with the family who is saying final goodbyes to their loved one. Lord, comfort them and give them peace. Lord, comfort those who are grieving. Lord, we also pray for the families who have been impacted by fires raging out of control. Lord, help the firemen, first responders, and other service workers to put the fire out. Lord, don’t let any more homes be destroyed by the fire, and prevent further need of evacuation. Lord, be with those who are traveling and allow them to depart and arrive to their destinations without disruption.

Lord, continue to work in us. Continue to heal and transform us daily. In Jesus name, amen.
