Good morning! Sometimes we forget the Lord commands the sun to rise and set. Today, will you ponder on all the amazing things the Lord has done? Look all around you for his glory and majesty.
Bible Verse – Psalms 111:1-4 NLT
“1 Praise the Lord! I will thank the Lord with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. 2 How amazing are the deeds of the Lord! All who delight in him should ponder them. 3 Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. 4 He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our Lord!”
Prayer
Father God, you are gracious and merciful. Lord, you are amazing. You establish havens in the desert and refresh our parched souls. Lord, you are good. You provide rest in the midst of chaos and bring solitude to the overwhelming thoughts in our minds. Lord, you are patient. Lord, you draw us nearer to you and invite us to sit with you and be restored. Lord, you are loving.
Lord, forgive us for any offense(s) that we have made against You or our brothers and sisters. Lord, forgive us when our hearts were/are full of flesh instead of love and compassion. Lord, you have given all believers who have accepted you as their Savior and Lord the gift of the Holy Spirit. Lord, we don’t want to be dried up or lukewarm Christians living with conditional motives or mood swings. Lord, we want to be all in. All in serving you, believing your word is true, trusting your promises as if we can see them clearly fulfilled today. Lord, refill us with your Holy Spirit power and activate that power within us. Lord, equip us with the wisdom and tenacity to pursue you with all that we are. Lord, build us up and give us a soft and obedient heart to serve you and others. Lord, continue to change our heart condition so that we will be more like you. Lord, unleash the limitations and constraints that we have placed on the Holy Spirit. Lord, fulfill your purpose in us. Let your Holy Spirit reign in us and hover over us. We invite you into all the spaces in our lives. Touch our minds, our tongues, our fingers, and our hearts. May our words, whether spoken, typed or signed be a reflection of your goodness and truth. Lord, keep working on us, healing us from our past and current situations. Giving us discernment and wisdom to live a healed and whole life. Lord, comfort us in our grief and in our brokenness. Lord, break the chains of generational bondage and insufficiency. Lord, shift household drama and trauma, and uproot the things that keep households from flourishing in you. Lord, reveal your majesty and glory in our homes, in our marriages, in our singleness, in our children and grandchildren, and in any space we may enter this season and year.
Lord, we continue to pray for those who are sick and we ask for their healing. Lord, we pray for those going through cancer treatment and ask for comfort and healing. Lord, we pray for all the readers reading this today and ask that you meet them right where they are with exactly what they need – In Jesus name. Lord, send forth Your word, shield us with Your armor, and make our paths straight. Lord, we thank you and we love you. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.
