Bible Verse – 2 Corinthians 4:5-6 NLT

“5 You see, we don’t go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who said, “Let there be light in the darkness,” has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.”

Prayer

Father God, thank you for sending your son JesusChrist to be a light unto the world. Lord, thank you for forgiveness of sins, redemption and restoration. Lord, shine brightly in our hearts, through all of our lives cuts and bruises so that others can see your brilliant light reflected in our lives. Lord, heal us from the things that tried to break us, and make us whole – in Jesus name. Lord, never let us forget how you saved us while we were in our darkest moments or while we were caught up in a life of self-pleasure and sin. Lord, you are the Alpha and Omega. You know the beginning and end of our stories. Lord, we trust you right now with the in between. Help us not to lose focus on what you are doing in our lives right now. Lord, stretch us beyond where we are today and let us grow more intimately and closer to you. Lord, shine brightly in and through us. Help us to be a light for others.

Lord, work all your might in our homes, our marriages, our children and our parents. Lord, purify our homes and let your peace overflow in and throughout it. Let it be a refuge and place we always feel your presence. Lord, bind the enemy’s attempts to destroy our families and relationships. Lord, help us to stand firm on your word. Heal those with chronic medical conditions. Lord, minimize or completely stop the medical related flare-up. Heal brain injuries and trauma. Help those who are in financial need. Lord, provide safe refuge for the unhoused and protection for those suffering from abuse. Lord, awaken us to see the things that concern you and help us to make a difference in this world.

All glory and praise to You. Lord, we ask these things, but Lord if you have something even better in mind – may Your will be done. In Jesus name, amen.
