Good morning! This morning is a prayerful reminder to put on the full Armor of God today.

Bible Verse – 6:10-18 NLT

” ¹⁰ A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. ¹¹ Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. ¹² For we^[d] are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

¹³ Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. ¹⁴ Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. ¹⁵ For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.^[e] 16 In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.^[f] 17 Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

¹⁸ Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.^[g]“

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for the reminder of your word. Lord, we often get sidetracked or disappointed by things the devil has been busy manipulating or things we have done out of disobedience to what God has called us to do. Lord, your reminder in Ephesians 6:10-18 reminds us to stand and we want to stand in faith with you.

Lord, first we want to ask you to forgive us for the sins we have committed (known and unknown). Lord, forgive us for any bitterness in our hearts and any unforgiveness we have not addressed. Lord, humble our hearts to see your will for our lives. Lord, align our thoughts and actions to You and Your word. Lord, equip us to follow after you and to focus on prayer.

Lord, help us to put on every piece of God’s armor so that we can resist the enemy in the time of evil, which is right now. Lord, God, we need your armor today to fight against all the strategies of the devil. Lord, we want your truth, your peace, your faith, your salvation, and your spirit to cover us and protect us from the devil’s schemes and the people he is using to create chaos and confusion. Lord, protect our minds so that we hear you over any other voice.

Lord, let Your truth be known. Lord, release us from the bondage and chains that prevent us from seeing and living by Your truth. Lord, create in us a clean heart and a steadfast spirit to serve and worship you in everything thing that we do. May our desires align with your will. May our whole household know and serve you.

Lord, we pray over work and school environments today and we ask that you make your presence known. Lord, protect children and students from harm. Lord, begin to shift the atmosphere at work and remove the remnants of the devil’s schemes from our places of work, worship, community, home, family, and our lives. Lord, help us to stand firm in knowing who we are in Christ Jesus. Transform us and continue to change us to be more like Christ everyday. In Jesus name, amen.
