May Prayer #7

Good morning! The Lord continues to keep us. He kept us through the night and He woke us up this morning. May His word bless you and my we be in agreement in prayer.

Bible Verse – Psalm 34:15-18 NLT

15 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.
16 But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth.
17 The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
    he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.”

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for your protection and covering over us. Thank you for keeping us safe and for allowing us to lean on you. Lord, you have been faithful to us. Lord, thank you for making a way for us to be saved. Lord, forgive us for the sins we have committed (e.g., known and unknown). Cleanse us and remove any sin that hinder us from drawing nearer to you.

Thank you for rescuing us even at times when we didn’t think we needed to be rescued. Lord, you know our prayers today. You know our brokenness. You know the problems at schools. You know the problems parents or guardians of the students are having and have been praying about. Lord, direct their steps on what to do and help the children to grow in the knowledge and wisdom of who you are.

Lord, we pray for the man who is having surgery today. We pray that the doctors are able to remove the tumor in his stomach and pancreas. Lord, comfort his wife as she waits and cares for him. Lord, help the doctors to remove the cancer. Lord, be with others who have sciatic nerve pain, back pain, arthritis, and other elements that have them experiencing pain.

Lord, we pray for those going into the workplace today. Lord, we pray for safety (e.g., physical and mental), and we ask for encouragement to keep pursuing what you have called us to do.

Lord, we want to do what is right in your eyes. We desire to be a light in the world. Lord, help us to shine bright and point others to you.

Lord, continue to work in us. Continue to transform us. Lead us today. Direct our tongues and our behaviors toward other to be pleasing to you.

In Jesus name, amen.
