Good morning! Today, we will continue to read Psalm 34 and pray. May the Lord continue to bless you this day.

Bible Verse – Psalm 34:8-14 NLT

“⁸ Taste and see that the Lord is good.
    Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
⁹ Fear the Lord, you his godly people,
    for those who fear him will have all they need.
¹⁰ Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

¹¹ Come, my children, and listen to me,
    and I will teach you to fear the Lord.
¹² Does anyone want to live a life
    that is long and prosperous?
¹³ Then keep your tongue from speaking evil
    and your lips from telling lies!
¹⁴ Turn away from evil and do good.
    Search for peace, and work to maintain it.“

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for your love and grace. We thank you for your faithfulness and truth. Lord, you are everything we need, thank you for blessing us with more than we deserve.

Lord, help us to trust you and be patient enough to trust your timing. Lord, we don’t want to get ahead of you or the things you have planned for us. Help us to be obedient to your word and lean on you for understanding. Lord, we are often searching for the next thing, will you help us to search for you first. Lord, will you help us to depend on your leadership. Lord, when we are anxious or overwhelmed, help us and remove any doubt and/or fear that we have about being obedient to what you called us to do.

Lord, be with us today as we face what is ahead. Lord, take the lead and show us the way. May our words be full of peace and truth. May they comfort those in need of comforting and may our words build up those who need encouragement. Help us to refrain from lying or speaking evil. Help us to stand forth in truth. Protect us from those who desire to lie or speak evil about us or to us. Lord, help us to continue to search for, find, and maintain peace in our lives. In Jesus name, amen.
