May Prayer #5

Good morning! This morning I was reading Psalm 34, and I was led to share these verses with you today. May the Lord bless the readers and listeners of His word today. May He hear and answer our prayers.

Bible Verse: Psalm 34:1-7 NLT

” 1 I will praise the Lord at all times.
    I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord;
    let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
    let us exalt his name together.

I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me.
    He freed me from all my fears.
Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;  no shadow of shame will darken their faces.
In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;  he saved me from all my troubles.
For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
    he surrounds and defends all who fear him.”

Pray

Father God,  we praise you for being all knowing, all doing, and everywhere at once. Lord, wherever we go you are with us. Through every valley you refresh and restore our soul. Lord, Your name is worthy of all our praise. You never discard us or leave us in famine. You are our shelter, our refuge, our provider, and the One who sustains. You walk with us and your Holy Spirit talks to us. You open our eyes, ears, and mind to focus in on you. Lord, there is no greater peace than the peace you provide. There is no greater comforter than the love You pour out on us in the puddle of tears that we cry. Lord, you are our anchor in the heaviest storms. Thank you for keeping us anchored to you. Help us to never let go of you.

Lord, be with us as we go about our day today. Lord, thank you for blessing those on their first day of work yesterday. Thank you for the job opportunities that you are opening for others. Lord, continue to show your children Your faithfulness to their prayers and Your word.

Lord, as we come to the season of celebrating mothers, we want to thank you for blessing so many with mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, god mothers, and other godly women in the world who spoke life and discipline into their lives. Lord, we want to lift up those who are missing their mothers today and in this season. Comfort their hearts and help them as they try to manage/maneuver through these celebrations. Lord, we pray for the mothers who had to lay their child to rest, and their children will not be physically present with them. Lord, hold them in a special way.

Lord, be with those who are preparing for surgery, be with those who have tumors, and those who have been diagnosed with an incurable disease.  Lord, you are able. Lord, we will keep praying, and we will trust that Your will will be done.

Lord, continue your mighty work in us. Keep stretching us and growing us into the godly children you have created us to be. In Jesus mighty name, we pray. Amen!
