Good morning! Let us rejoice in the love God gives.

Bible Verse – 1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV

“¹³ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.”

Dear Lord. Thank you for blessing us with another day. Thank you for always loving us every day and not one particular day. Thank you for the blessings that overflow in our lives. Thank you for the ability to lean on you in faith in every area of our lives.

Lord, today in North America we celebrate Valentines day. It is a single day in the year where we are drawn in to love and express love to others. Lord, you are the ultimate expression of love. In your love, you gave up your life for us. You made a way for our debt to be paid. You secured the way for us to be forgiven and reconciled to God. You have healed us. You have provided for us. You are always with us. You never abandon us. You are always faithful to your promises.

Lord, there is no greater love than yours. Lord, as we go through this day we pray for those who feel alone and unloved. Lord, we pray that they will know You and your love for them. Lord, give them peace of mind and comfort their hearts. Remind them that you are with them. Lord, dry up their tears and give them renewed hope and purpose.

Lord, we pray for our singles, widows, and those who are divorced or separated. Lord, you are the ultimate valentine and we thank you for being so loving and patient. Lord, as we reflect on love today, we pray for this group of people (our brothers and sisters in faith) and ask that you encourage them in their current relationship status. Lord, no matter what our marital status is – you still love us. Lord, remind them that you loved them first. Remind them that you are with them today and always. Remind them that you will never leave them. Let them find comfort in who you created them to be. Let them feel your peace today. Help them to show love toward others as you have shown us love.

Lord, we pray for couples today. Lord, we pray that our love for one another is not solely wrapped up in gifts and disappointments. Lord, stretch our love in our marriages to grow more healthy and intense. Help us to be intentional in every aspect of love, communication, and faithfulness toward one another. Expand compassion and healthy passion in relationships. Help us to love you first and love our spouses as you would have us love them. Protect marriages from Satan’s schemes to destroy them. Help us to always look to you for guidance, wisdom, discernment, and understanding in our relationships.
