Good morning! Lord, continue to let your Spirit change us more into the likeness of Jesus Christ.

Bible Verse: 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NLT

“¹⁷ For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. ¹⁸ So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.”

Prayer

Dear God. Thank you for getting us through the night. Thank you for keeping us the day before. Lord, continue to keep your hand on us. Guide us through this day and strengthen us as we press on.

Lord, help the families who have been impacted by the storms in California and across the world. Lord, restore power, water, heat and provide shelter for those without. Lord, help the city, county and state employees as they work to help communities impacted by the storms.

Lord, we pray for our service men and women, and their families. Lord, help them during this time of uncertainty, deployments and absences from their homes. Lord, strengthen marriages and family ties during their time away. Heal marriages and improve communication.

Lord, we pray for a permanent cure for cancer. Lord, we ask that all the funds collected throughout the years result in cures. Lord, with the simple way of your hand we know that you can cure those who have been diagnosed with cancer. Lord, we know with the simple whisper of your voice cancer treatments will work. Lord, we know with faith that you can heal. Lord, we pray in faith that you will give wisdom to those who have scientific knowledge on how to cure cancer. Lord, let that cure be available to everyone at no or low cost for all. Lord, we pray for remission of cancer for those who are battling cancer today. Lord, stop the spread, reduce the tumor and restore strength to this going through chemo and/or radiation treatments.

Lord, as we reflect on the verse we read today we ask that you continue to change us to reflect your image in every area of our lives. Help us to live in the freedom that you give to us. Let us live without fear of tomorrow and put our hope, faith and trust in you no matter what is ahead. In Jesus name, amen.
