Good morning! God has freely given us so much and He is will to give us so much more.
Bible Verse – 1 Corinthians 2:9-12 NLT
“9 That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”[d]
10 But[e] it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. 11 No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. 12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us.”
Prayer
Dear Lord. We want to know you more. We want to experience the fullness of Your love, mercy, grace, etc. You so freely give us things that we do not ask for and at times we can’t even imagine. You have been gracious to us. Your everlasting love is unmatched. We truly don’t deserve the extent of grace and mercy that you extend over and over again, but You are so loving that You do it without fail. Thank you for loving us.
Lord, forgive us for not loving you just as much. Forgive us for the times we pulled away from you. Forgive us for putting things before you in our lives. Lord, we desire to put you first. We desire to get to know you and spend more time with you. Let your Holy Spirit teach us the wonderful things you freely give. Let us receive the teaching and store it in our hearts so that we may share your love with the world.
Lord, we pray for the safety of those serving in our military. Lord, we pray for the family members who loss their loved ones. Lord, give them peace and strength as they prepare to say goodbye on this side of heaven. Lord, we pray for our leaders and their responses. Lord, we pray that you give them wisdom, discernment and guidance on next steps for our military and our country as a whole.
Lord, be with everyone who during the different climate seasons of rain, snow, hail, etc. Lord, protect homes from being flood, watch over those who need to go out in those conditions and keep them safe. We pray for those who are homes and without shelter, and we ask that you shelter them from the storm. Lord, prepare the shelters to receive those in need of shelter. Prepare the shelter staff with a compassionate heart and wisdom on how to care for those who are in need and are in survival mode.
Lord, we pray for those who are going through difficult times on a scale of zero to ten. Lord, you know the impact of those who are crying out, who are in need financially, those who desire to move from their areas they are in for a safer environment, those who are being abused physically, mentally, emotionally, and verbal, and all the other reasons. Lord, provide for them. Heal them. Help them. Rescue them. Make them whole, in Jesus name.
Lord, remove bitter roots that are stored in our hearts. Help us to love like you. Help us to pray for others. Help us to see things the way that you see them. In Jesus’ name we pray all these things. Amen.
