Good morning! God has blessed us with a new week. Instead of worrying, let us pray about everything, and allow God’s peace in.
Bible Verse: Philippians 4:6-7 NLT
“6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Prayer
Dear God. Thank you for your love toward us. Thank you for blessing us with a new week. Thank you for giving us hope and our ability to trust you. Thank you for blessing us salvation through your son Jesus. Thank you for forgiving us of our sins and for teaching us how to forgive others. Thank you for teaching us to love you and our neighbors.
Lord, today we leave every worry that we have at your feet. Lord, we don’t want to worry about anything this week, but instead we want to take these scripture verses to heart. We want to pray about anything we would normally worry about. Lord, here are some of the things for this week:
- We are praying for those who are interviewing for jobs this week. We pray for successful/good interviews. We pray for those conducting interviews to make the best decision. Lord, open up opportunities for those who are still looking for jobs.
- We pray for those who are moving this month or next and ask that you make the process easy. We pray for each person to have enough help to move items. We pray for the process to go smoothly and be injury free. We pray over their new environments – we pray for safety, for parking, and the ability to pay rent, bills, food, and any other incidentals that may arise.
- We pray for those with cancer, those going through treatments, and those who are in various stages of the disease. Lord, we ask you to put your healing hand on their bodies and cure them. Lord, remove or remission the cancer. Lord, touch those who are going through chemo and radiation, help them to endure the treatment. Reduce the side effects and keep them from picking up other illnesses.
- Lord, protect all the children heading back to the classroom today. Protect them from harm and keep them safe today. Lord, give them teachers who genuinely care for students and their development. Lord, be with the teachers and encourage them this week to care for the students. Lord, be with the parents/guardians of the children. Lord, give them peace today as they drop their kids off or send them out. Bless them in ways that they need to be blessed. Equip them with good parental skills.
- Lord, we pray for those who woke up with disappointment today, and we ask that you remove that dark shadow from their hearts and minds. Lord, fill them up with your light and let it shine brightly.
- Lord, we pray for our American troops in the Middle East and their families. Lord, we pray for those in Jordan and ask that you help them to recover. Lord, we pray for the families of the three soldiers who lost their lives. Lord, you know what lies ahead and we ask that you strengthen the families, comfort them and give them peace.
- Lord, we pray for…(fill in the space)
Lord God, we told you what we need. We thank you for what you have done. Lord, we are ready to experience Your peace. Let Your peace guide our hearts and minds, as we live in Christ Jesus. In Jesus name, we pray, amen!
