Good morning! When we build our house and our lives on solid rock it will not collapse – praise God!

Bible Verse- Matthew 7:24-27 NLT

“²⁴ “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. ²⁵ Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. ²⁶ But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. ²⁷ When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

Prayer

Dear God. We want to thank you for being so good to us. Thank you for blessing us with peace. Thank you for comforting us. Thank you for providing for us. Thank you for giving us discernment and wisdom. Thank you for teaching us to love you, ourselves, and others. Lord God, thank you for straightening out our crooked paths and for making them straight. Most of all thank you for sending your son Jesus to save us and reconcile us back into relationship with you.

We desire to follow Jesus with every breath that we have. Lord, we want the strength and desire to deny ourselves, pick up the cross, and follow you every day of our lives. We want to continue to read, listen, understand, and obey the teachings of Jesus in the Bible and follow Him. We want our lives to be built upon You, our Solid Rock.

Lord, you have remained faithful and have kept us even when the winds blew, the house shaked, the flood waters rose, the tears fell, and things were lost (e.g., relationships, friendships, finances, health, etc.). Lord, as our firm foundation, continue to carry and protect us. Continue to lead us and help us to make wise decisions that glorify you.

Lord, we pray for those who do not know you. Lord, we pray that they will seek you with their whole heart and follow after you. Lord, we pray for those who know you. Lord, we pray for their relationship to continue to grow and flourish in You. Lord, strengthen our pastors, church leaders, and ministers around the world to stay fast to the calling and purpose that you have given them. Encourage them and guide them. Lord, be with the Christians who may feel discouraged today. Help them in their battle against their thoughts verses the truth that You speak over them. Lord, don’t let them give up. Draw them closer to you and bless them with Your peace and resolve.

Lord, equip us and strengthen us for this day. Give us your peace, help us to shine brightly, and let Your love overflow in our lives today. Keep us. In Jesus’ name, amen.
