Good morning! God is our hope, our rock, our salvation and our fortress. Let us not be shaken but filled with trust in Him.

Bible Verse: Psalm 62:5-8 NLT

“⁵ Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
    for my hope is in him.
⁶ He alone is my rock and my salvation,
    my fortress where I will not be shaken.
⁷ My victory and honor come from God alone.
    He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
⁸ O my people, trust in him at all times.
    Pour out your heart to him,
    for God is our refuge.”

Prayer

Father God, we thank you for sending your son Jesus to save us. Lord, we thank you for the forgiveness of sins. We thank you for keeping us through the night. We thank you for giving us another opportunity to speak with you, read your word and pray to you. Lord, continue to guide us in all our ways and in every decision we make. Lord, equip us to go through this day with the full armor of God on. Lord protect us – our mind from Satan and his attacks; and our hearts against bitterness and anger – fill it with Your love and compassion. Lord, tighten the belt of truth and sharpen the sword of the Spirit so that we will know your word and use it as a weapon of defense against anything that comes against us. Lord, keep us firmly planted in Your word and truth.

Lord, despite every obstacle ahead help is to keep our eyes focused on you. Protect us and shield us. Lord, we pray for those who were recently robbed and/or burglarized. Lord, restore unto them all that was lost and bless them. Lord, give them a peace of mind, protect them from future robberies and/or burglaries. Lord, protect their identities and their families. Lord, continue to be our refuge and rock. Lord, speak to the hearts of those who are committing crimes. Lord, you know exactly what is going on in their lives. Lord, we pray that you turn them a way from a life of crime.

Lord, we pray for our communities and ask that you keep us safe. Protect the innocent children, widows and those who are underrepresented. Lord, you can make a way for things to change for the better. Lord, change our circumstances for the better. Let your Holy Spirit guide us on what we should do next in our homes, with our families, on the job, etc. Lord, we want to be willing and obedient vessels that hear You and Your word, and take actions of obedience.

Lord, we pray for those who are sick and ask for healing. Lord, let the medical treatments (e.g., IV therapy, chemo, radiation, etc.) work. Cure those suffering from cancer and other medical problems. Continue to be with the family members, care givers and loved ones who are also impacted by the medical diagnosis.

Let Your light shine brightly through us today. Let people see you in us today. Lord, help us to trust you more each day. Help us to lean on you. Lord, help us to wait patiently and quietly before You, Lord, as you answer our prayers, but let us be bold and powerful in our belief that You will come through in every situation we face. Lord God, we trust that you are our refuge and our strength.
