Good morning! Love comes in various forms. It reaches the deepest places in our hearts. When we pray we are reminded of the One who loved us first and who has always been faithful to that love. That same love teaches us how to love others, but also to recognize no one can ever love us more or equal to how much God loves us.

Bible Verse – Romans 5:8

“God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Prayer

Dear God. Thank you for loving us. Your love extends the depths of our souls and beyond. In your love you created each one of us – unique in character and in image. You blessed with so much, through Christ Jesus you gave the gift of salvation to all who would accept it, and you gave us so much more than that. Thank you for your never ending love.

Thank you for blessing us with another new week. Thank you in advance for directing our steps and for keeping us every moment of the day this week. Thank you for your mercy and your unmerited grace. Through you there is healing and forgiveness, there is peace and joy, and there is strength and power.

Lord, whatever is ahead of us this week, we surrender it to you. We trust that you are aware of every detail in our lives and that you will be with us. Lord, prepare our hearts and minds to trust you even when we are not in control. Increase our faith to trust your will to be done.

Lord, be with every leader in the world today. Lord, open their hearts and give them compassion toward all people. Lord, give them a desire to seek and follow your guidance. Lord, disrupt every plan that Satan and his followers are trying to plan, plot and scheme. Lord, we rebuke them in the mighty name of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for families who are facing challenging times. Lord, we pray that you not only provide the basic essentials (e.g., food, water, clothing, shelter, a bed to sleep in), but Lord, provide for their medical insurance, clothing to keep them warm, a space that they can call home and it feels safe each day to refuge to. Lord, bless those who are seeking employment, who are in need of additional financial assistance, who have spent their last, and for the college students who need financial support. Lord, as you open doors of opportunities for employment touch the supervisors and hiring managers to be filled with Your light. Lord, prepare the work culture to be one of trust and acceptance. Lord, help us all to budget and manage our resources well. Lord, you know what each person needs and we trust Your word and promises to provide.

Lord, we can never repay you for anything that you have done for us, but we are your willing servants, and we are willing to be used by you. Lord, continue to mature our faith and knowledge of who you are. Your grace is sufficient. Help us to love like you love. In Jesus name, amen!
