Prayer

Father God, we want to thank you for being so faithful to us. God, thank you for keeping our eyes steadfast and focused on you. God, thank you for never giving up on us- even when you had reasons too. Instead, you chose to love us. You chose to forgive us. God, thank you for sending Jesus Christ- your son to save us and reconcile us back to you. Thank you for your Holy Spirit that guides and speaks to us. Lord, thank you for blessing us with breath in our lungs and for allowing us to praise you.

Lord, we pray for our families today. Lord, we ask for greed and selfishness to disappear in us. Lord, we ask for you to bind the spirit of chaos and confusion that is trying to stir up. Lord, we ask that you disrupt the plots of the enemy against our households, our children, our marriages, and our homes. Lord, you know the issues, the gossip, the insincere concern, and trauma. Lord, we don’t want those things in our homes or in our lives. Lord, silence the gossip. Lord, heal the trauma and relationships. Lord, protect us from those who want to use or demand things of us that are not beneficial for us.

Lord, equip us with wisdom, discernment and knowledge in every area of our lives. Lord, open our eyes to see the truth. Help us to see the motives of others and help us to respond with words, actions or silence that aligns with you. Lord, remove anything that hinders us from living in the fullness of Your protection and peace. Lord, we pray for those who don’t know you, for households who do not serve you, for those who know and believe, but choose not to follow you. Lord, we pray that you turn their hearts around.

Lord, we pray for you to keep us aligned to Your compassion and love. Lord, remind us to keep praying for our families and ourselves as we try to be the light in dark situations and conversations.

Lord, we pray for every child in daycare, with a sitter, or at home and we ask that you protect them from harm. Lord, we ask that you protect them from abuse, neglect, injury, and away from predators. Lord, we pray for students who are returning back to the classroom or participating in virtual learning. We ask for you to give them wisdom and understanding with their course work. Help them to grow in knowledge and become a greater Christian influence in their school and/or subject matter. Lord, we pray for an end to gun violence in schools and around schools.

Lord, we pray for the teachers who are returning to the classroom and admin staff, and ask that you be with them. Lord, touch them and give them hope. Guide them on the best way to teach and guide the students toward their greater purpose. Lord, strengthen and equip them to understand and teach with compassion and truth.

Lord, we pray for those returning to the workforce today or going their own. Lord, help is to shine brightly and point others to you. In Jesus name, amen.
