Good morning! Including today there are 361 days left in the year. Today is the first Friday and we will focus on prayer.

Bible Verse – Acts 13:47-49 NLT

“⁴⁷ For the Lord gave us this command when he said,

‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles,
    to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’^[m]”

⁴⁸ When the Gentiles heard this, they were very glad and thanked the Lord for his message; and all who were chosen for eternal life became believers. ⁴⁹ So the Lord’s message spread throughout that region.”

Prayer

Father God, thank you for sending your son Jesus to save us. Thank you for extending salvation from the Jews to the Gentiles. Thank you for making it possible for bringing salvation to all the fartherest corners of the earth. Thank you for choosing us. Thank you for helping us to believe. Thank you for eternal salvation that only comes through Jesus Christ.

Lord, we pray for our nation. Lord, we pray for all people to know you, believe you, accept You/Christ as their Lord and Savior, and to live their lives for Christ. Lord, we pray for a shift in the atmosphere. We pray for people to turn to you and/or back to you. We pray that they will focus their eyes on you and that you will remove the things that don’t align with your will. We pray that relationships with you will begin to flourish and grow. Lord, we pray for hearts to be soften, for racism to be dissolved, for healing in our nation, community, and world. Lord, we pray that there will be a continuous momentum in the church a revival to awaken hearts, attune ears, and refinement of spiritual gifts. Lord, so much is going on behind the scenes and in the open that it makes it hard to believe that things will change, but Lord we are thankful for your faithfulness and the security you provide, and we know that you can change anything.

Lord, we open ourselves to you. Use us as you will. Use us in our homes and with our families. Let us be an example of Christ in and out of season. Let us be the model of Christ and not the exception. Lord, everywhere we step this year – may it be a step closer to you, a step to share the love of Jesus and to be a light in the darkness.

Lord, we pray that this year our goals align with your plan. Don’t let us get entangled with unnecessary drama, stress, worry, fear or gossip – or anything that will distract us from You. Rid us of the desire to compare ourselves to others, and instead help us seek to please You and bring glory to your name. Lord, today and every day ahead we rebuke the spirit of fear, anxiety, and depression; and seek the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind – in the name of Jesus.

Lord, we pray for the families who have already lost a loved one or has received a terminal diagnosis this year. Comfort their hearts and fill them with your love and peace. Encourage their spirit and help through their pain. Lord, continue to heal those in need of healing.

Lord, we pray for the mother who is ill, the mother who lost her sight, the father who is caring for his family and trying to serve you, the grandmother who is praying for her children and her children’s children, we pray for the child who is praying. Lord, we pray for those who are single, divorced, or wisdom. Lord , bless us, give us favor, mature us in faith. In Jesus name, amen.
