Hope In Him

Good morning! This week we will be covering a few scriptures on hope.

Bible Verse 62:5-8 NLT

5 Let all that I am wait quietly before God,
for my hope is in him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will not be shaken.
My victory and honor come from God alone.
He is my refuge, a rock where no enemy can reach me.
O my people, trust in him at all times.
Pour out your heart to him,
    for God is our refuge.

Prayer

Dear God.

There is no greater refuge than you. You guide our thoughts in the morning and you give us rest for our souls at night. We can trust you with the smallest and greatest things in our lives. You continue to pour out Your strength and peace within us. There is no one greater than you in all the earth or in our circumstances, and we thank you for your consistent faithfulness.

Lord, as life goes on – we will patiently wait on you. We will quietly wait in prayer before you, morning, noon, and night – without end to seek you for every situation in our lives. We trust you to be our rock and salvation in this world. We will not be shaken because You are God and You know the beginning from the end. You are the Alpha and the Omega. Lord, we trust you, but help us to trust and believe you more each day.

Lord, we pray for everyone who is mourning today. We pray for comfort and peace within their hearts and minds. We pray for your peace to overflow and for the restlessness to subside.

Lord, we pray for those who are struggling with faith in You, and we ask that you build them up and give them peace. Remove the enemies attempts to derail their belief in you. We ask that you encourage their hearts and give them understanding. Lord, provide mental clarity.

Lord, we pray for those in similar situations that the Psalmist prayed about in the scripture verses we read today. Lord, direct their steps and comfort their hearts today. Lord, where it is easy to have a hardened heart, help us in our time of need to see things as you see them and set us free from fear. Lord, we want to trust you at all times – help us to. Help us to see you at work in our situations and in the prayers that we have prayed. Help us to rest assured knowing no matter what comes against us You are still God and our refuge – we will patiently wait on you. Our hope remains in You and Your promises.

Lord, be with us today and throughout the week, in Jesus name, amen.
