Living It Out

Good morning! May you feel the Lord meet you right where you are today.

Throughout scripture we read about where God or Jesus (in the flesh) met people and how they spoke to them or made themselves known via the wind, clouds, fire, a voice, in the flesh, through messagener angels, a donkey, etc. From Adam in the garden, to Hagar under a tree, water at the well, to washing feet, on a Damascus road, while fishing, at a friend’s tomb, feeding crowds, etc., there was a desire to draw people into relationship with God. There was always a need for a Savior (Jesus) who would be the perfect sacrifice to cover our sins and reconcile us to God – thank God for Jesus.

Bible Verse – John 10:9-11 NLT

Yes, I am the gate. Those who come in through me will be saved.[b] They will come and go freely and will find good pastures. 10 The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.”

Today, our prayer is for the Lord our God and Savior to meet us right where we are mentally, emotionally, physically, financially, and most of all spiritually.

Prayer.

Father God we thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to save us from eternal death. Thank you for making a way for us to live in relationship with you, by believing Jesus Christ came to be the perfect sacrifice to cover all of our sins and receiving Him as our Lord and Savior. God we belive your word is true. We cannot praise you enough for what you have done so that we will have life and live it abundantly.

Lord, you know exactly where we are in our walk with you. You know exactly what we need to live an abundant life. Lord, you understand our ups and our lows and you give us guidance in your word to sustain us through it all. Lord, we ask for you to be with that mother who woke-up with tears in her eyes, to be with that father whose heart is heavy, to be with that child who doesn’t know what to do, to be with the grandparents who are leaning in and on you, to be with the singles who are seeking or content, the divorced who have been rejected, the widowed who feel alone, and the leaders with or without a vision to move ahead with your guidance. Lord, we all need you today. We want to draw closer to you. We want to feel your presence. We want to be guided by your Holy Spirit and have an obedient heart to follow your will. Lord, we want the best that you can offer, not because we deserve it, but because you are God and You are able. Lord, whatever the need is: mentally, emotionally, physically, financially, and spiritually we are trusting that You (our provider) will provide.

Lord, we want to mature in our faith and our walk with you. Lord, we give our life, tools and time to you to use as you please. Continue to equip us for the call. Help us to live out what You created us to be.

In Jesus’ name, amen!
