Good morning! Today, we will continue with God’s word.

Bible Verse 1 Peter 5:5-7 NLT

“⁵ In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for

“God opposes the proud
    but gives grace to the humble.”^[a]

⁶ So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. ⁷ Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Prayer

God, thank you for your reminder on humility. Lord, thank for the words that are clear ” humble ourselves under the mighty power of God.” Those words make such a difference. Lord, all this time we have been praying to be humble, but Lord if we humble ourselves under Your mighty power we will realize how powerless we are without You. Lord, we want our humbleness to recognize your greatness and the vastness of who you are. Lord, it is only by your grace that we are able to acknowledge you as Lord. Thank you for unfolding your grace and power to us. Lord, we will never be as great as you…never. Lord, we humbly submit our controls to you. Lord, lead us and help us to lead from the place of love, compassion and humility. Help us to recognize where and how you are leading us. Take us to new heights and new things, as you led us to use our spiritual gifts that you gave us under your mighty power/reign.

Lord, forgive us for the times when we felt that our way was best, that we were better than someone else, that our sins weren’t as great as others, when we tried to rule over and judge others. Lord, we want to fall in line with your word and the way we treat others. We want to be more like Christ every day of our lives. Lord, forgive us of our sins (known and unknown) and continue to transform us.

Lord, we pray for those who are struggling with control and humility and ask that you continue your in us until the day of completion. Lord, help us to give a pause when we are tempted to do Your job. Lord, help us to step back and recognize our inefficiencies, but find peace and rest in Your grace covering it all. Lord, thank you for loving the imperfect us while you are perfecting us each day.

Lord, we want to give all our worries to you.

• We want to be used by you. Don’t let us fall short
• We want to be teachable. Continue to teach us
• Watch over our families
• Protect the children and widows around the world
• Touch our finances
• Give mental clarity
• Heal us
• Give us favor
