Beyond Our Understanding

Good morning! Here’s another great reminder as we begin a new week. May the prayer be your first line of defense this week.

Bible Verse – Philippians 4:6-7NLT

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

Prayer

Dear God! Thank you for today. Thank you for the peace that you give. Thank you for always being by our side. Thank you for never leaving us or forsaking us. Even in the most difficult situations you have been right here with us. You have walked us from trial to triumph, from sadness to joy, from chaos to peace, and heartbreak to total reliance on you. You have proven to be greater than anything we may come up against and we trust You because you are so faithful.

Lord, strengthen our hearts to receive you today. Help us to rely on You on every situation and on every occasion. Lord, touch us and strengthen our families. Lord, bless generations after generations to know you and believe Your word. Lord, equip us with Your word that distinguishes the lies of the enemy. Lord, remove the negative thoughts and feelings that go through our minds. Give us favor and bless us with your peace today.

Lord, wherever we lack faith strengthen us. Wherever we have fear, remove it. Whatever we don’t understand give us wisdom and discernment to get through. Lord, we pray for those who are experiencing pain today and we ask that you remove it. Lord, be with those who are ill and heal them. Lord, touch our children and keep them safe. Protect them and guide their thoughts. Help them to know that You love them and that they can pray to you too.

Lord, continue to grow us in Your word. Draw us closer to you. Help us to see things as you see them. May Your peace over flow and keep us content. Don’t let us fall into a competition mindset, but of one of compassion, peace, solidarity in You, and love. It is only by Your grace that we are where we are and able to do what You have gifted and graced us to do . Lord, don’t let us lose sight of the mission. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
