Prayer Focus: Strong and Immovable
“58 So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.” 1 Corinthians 15:58 NLT
Dear God.
We know the enemy (the thief) came to kill, steal and destroy, but Jesus came so that we may have life and live it abundantly. Lord, we want to be strong in our faith and immovable in our belief in You.
Lord, we know we are fighting principalities and rulers and forces of wickedness in this world, but we also know that with you we have victory over the plots and wickedness against us. We know no weapon formed against You will prosper and that as believers we are in You/Christ Jesus. Lord, thank you for being our refuge and strength, our comforter and healer, our hope when things seem loss or in disrepair, and our hope and our salvation.
Lord, on day 30 of 30 we want to thank you for keeping us steadfast in prayer, faithful in drawing near to you, and in many ways transformed and/or more mature in our prayer life than 40 days ago. Lord, continue to give us a heart that seeks you in the morning. Give us an urgency to renew our minds every day and start new just like your mercy – it is new every morning. Lord, help us to see things as you see them – while it may seem like the world and/or our lives are falling apart, you see it entirely different. You are still in control, you still have us in the palm of your hand, and no matter where the course of today or days ahead may take us, help us to rest assure knowing our journey hasn’t caught you by surprise. We trust that you are in absolute control and that you are working things out for the good of those who love God and are the called according to His purpose. Lord, we know that when we get off track that because You love us so much that you will leave the 99 to go get the 1, Lord, we know you will come and get us too, but don’t let us stray or wonder too far.
Lord, we know depression, anxiety, stress, and negative energy are real. We know how mental health crisis’ have risen. However, we know you are capable and well able to help every single one of your children who is struggling in those areas. Lord, we lift those things to you. Heal us mentally and emotionally.
Lord, we know financial matters are important and impact our lives in different ways. Lord, you heard the cries of parents who had to make decisions between food and housing, medical bills and transportation, and school supplies. Lord, we thank you for the programs and people who stood in the gap for those in need. Lord, help us to be good stewards of the funds that you have given us. Help us to make an impact on the lives of the poor and marginalized, and help those who desire to help but are unable to barely help themselves and their family. Lord, work in our government, states, counties and cities to address the increase in costs on everything. Heal us financially.
Lord, touch our bodies. Lord, whatever medical condition we may have we ask for the ease of pain and for proper pain management. Lord, we pray for those with chronic conditions and ask that you help them and give them relief. Lord, put the right doctors and medical professionals in their path who will humbly assist and clear pathways for treatment. Heal us physically.
Lord, we need you to fill us up spiritually. We need you more than we recognize at times. Lord, you are the cure to every spiritual need we have. Keep pressing Your word and truth into our hearts. Keep building our relationship with you. Keep our eyes steadfast on you. Help us to be a light in the world for all to see You living and working in us.
Lord, strengthen us and our families in our relationship with You. Protect Your children from harm. Protect marriages from those who want them destroyed. Protect elderly and/or widows and get them the assistance they need. Lord, be with teachers as they enter the classrooms and give them a renewed passion to care for and teach the children who have been placed in their care.
Lord. We praise you for all that you have done for us. We praise you for what you are doing. We praise you in advance for what you will do.
Lord. We also ask __________.
In Jesus name, we pray all those things. Amen.
