Day 29 of 30

Good morning! Thank you for joining us as we continue our Draw Closer prayer series.

Prayer Focus – All Things
“16 for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. 18 He is also the head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.” Colossians 1:16-18 NASB

Dear God.

Where would we be without your mercy and grace? What would we do if we didn’t have our hope, faith, and trust in you? Father God, thank you for sending your son Jesus as a living sacrifice, so that we will be saved and forgiven. Lord, we don’t deserve anything, but you have given us life, grace and mercy. You cover us and you have proven to be our refuge in times of a storm.

Lord, sometimes we get too busy about things that don’t last or don’t hold significant value. We lose track of what is important to you. Lord, we don’t want to live our lives on the edge constantly battling between the things we should do verses the things we want to do. Whatever we do we want it aligned to Your will, not the will of the world. Lord, renew our minds and our thoughts about our relationship with you. Help us to mature in our faith to see things as you see them.

Lord, we ask that you come into our homes and let your Holy Spirit dwell amongst us. Lord, from the front door to the back door/sliding glass door to the furthest window on the right to the left, and from the roof to the floor protect our homes and the people who reside in it. Remove any spirit that is not of you from our homes. Encamp your army of angels around our homes, children, marriages, family, and us. Guide us and bless wherever we dwell. Lord, we pray for the unhoused and we ask for you to give them a place to live and resources that they need to improve their circumstances. Lord, continue to work in the hearts of workers and people who come to their aid. Lord, help us to see those in need as you see them. Lord, it is only by your grace and mercy that we are where we are and have what we have. Lord, help us to be good stewards of what you have given us.

Lord, bless us and give us favor as you continue to equip us and grow us in your word and in faith. Lord, you are so worthy of our praise. Lord, we praise for you for loving us unconditionally. We praise you for healing us. We praise you for giving us a sound mind. We praise you for being our provider and sustainer. We praise you for being our calm in the midst of storms and heartache.  We praise you for never leaving us or forsaking us.

  • Lord, we praise you for ____
  • Lord, help us to ______
  • Lord, we need our prayers answered in this area of our lives ______

Lord, as we draw closer to you, keep our eyes, our hearts, and our thoughts focused on you. In Jesus’ mighty name amen.
