Day 28 of 30

Prayer Focus: Unconditional

18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” Ephesians 3:18-19NLT

Dear God.
Thank you for another day. Thank you for your grace and love. Lord, you have been so good to us, even at times when we haven’t been good to ourselves. Lord, forgive us of sins (known and unknown).

Lord, today we pray for growth and maturity in you. Lord, some of us who are reading this prayer today are in different phases of our walk and belief in you. Lord, we desire to know you more, understand you more, lean on you more, and believe in your word/promises more.

Lord, you have always watched over us even when things weren’t good. You are a good God who loves us unconditionally. Lord, some of us don’t understand what unconditionally love feels like, so today I pray that you begin to press within us all a reminder of what your unconditional love is so that we will understand what that is and what it is not.

It’s not:

  • if we do everything right that you will love us, you love us anyway
  • if we take care of everyone and do everything for them that you will love us, you love us anyway
  • if we have the right car, clothes, home or other material things that you will love us, you love us anyway.

Lord, we thank you and praise you for not putting conditions on your love for us. Thank you for loving us when you still had to correct us and discipline us. Lord, many say God is love as a covering for everything, but Lord we thank you for understand that you are love, but you are also a just God who cares enough to correct us, make our crooked paths straight, and have your Holy Spirit correct our behavior and other things. Lord, we thank you for healing our hearts and we thank you in advance for the hearts you will heal simply because there were conditions placed on their love from others. Lord, continue to mature us. Continue to direct our steps, the relationships that we have with others, and help us to keep healthy boundaries and establish healthy relationships. Lord, protect us from tactics that others use to manipulate us or harm us. Lord, we want to fall in love with you more each day. We desire to love those we love and show love to those we do not know. Give us wisdom and discernment as we show love and share who you are. Lord, we pray for women, children and men who have not experienced unconditional love. Lord, we pray for them to know that type of love in their lifetime and for them to be able to show it to others. Lord, we pray for those who are broken and lost. Lord, pain is often disguised, but You know it all. Heal them and set them on the path to you and those who love you. Lord, continue to work miracles in our lives, in the lives of our family members, and in the dark places no one talks about. Lord, keep working in us to have a heart of compassion,  a heart that loves and leads like yours. Lord, continue to watch over the children in this world, the widows, the orphans, the married and their marriages, and the singles in or not in a relationship.  Lord, be with those who have Dr. appointments today. Lord, give the doctors wisdom and discernment on their care and treatment. In Jesus name, amen.
