Good morning! Thank you for joining us as we continue our 25th day of our Draw Closer prayer series.

Prayer Focus:  Speaking and Serving
“10 As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the multifaceted grace of God. 11 Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11 NASB.

Dear God.

Thank you for blessing us to see the end of another week. Lord, good and bad, up and down, joy and tears, and gains and losses You are still God and by your grace we are still here.

Lord, there is no greater gift than to know that you are with us, have been with us, and will continue to be with us.

Lord, today we pray for our jobs and co-workers. Lord, if there is a work culture, boss, and peers we ask that you begin to cultivate that environment around us at work. Lord, we are not perfect and at times are own standards of perfection are placed/judge on others. Lord, begin the change and transformation of our perception and optics with us first.  Lead us in such a way that people will hear and see You when we speak and serve you. Lord, we desire to serve you and be servant leaders with our whole heart. Help us to be a good representative of you wherever we go and do. Help us to be humble and give us wisdom to lead well.

Lord, continue to help those who are recovering from and preparing for a natural disaster. Lord, help Maui and those impacted by the hurricanes to rebuild. Lord, help those who were displaced from their homes, families, and/or jobs. Lord, we pray for those who are away from their loved ones and ask that you comfort them and reunite them soon. Lord, protect the islands and people where the hurricanes are active.

Lord, as we go through this day and weekend we ask for your provision, protection, and peace. May the spiritual gifts you have given us be put into action. May your grace abound and may your strength be made perfect in us.

Lord, we pray for the women who will be attending this year’s women’s retreat. Lord, prepare their hearts and help the volunteer team and speakers to serve you as they use their gifts that day.

Keep working in us. In Jesus name, amen.
