Prayer Focus: The Lord Delivers

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.”
Psalm 34:19 KJV

Dear God.

Thanks and praise to you, Lord. Thank you for waking us up this morning. Thank you for putting air in our lungs and for blessing us with another day. Lord, it is you who offers forgiveness and restoration.  Lord, we ask today that you forgive us from our sins. Lord, forgive us of the known and unknown sins we have committed. Lord, forgive us of any gossip, slander, and other things that do not bring glory to you or your name.
Lord, as we seek to live our lives for You we are often challenged by various things in life. Lord, as we go through the challenges or opportunities, help us to overcome any obstacles we face well.  Lord, your word says there are many afflictions but you will deliver us from them all. Lord, we trust your word and your ability to deliver.

Lord, we have sisters and brothers in the faith who are going through afflictions and we ask that you help them in their time of need. Lord, they/we need you. We need your wisdom, foresight, and understanding. Lord, open up doors to solutions and support. Lord, help us not to fall as victims, but help us to stand or stand back up victorious in You.

Lord, there are so many in need, there are those who are experiencing sicknesses and heart ache. There are others who are motivated to do something different but they don’t know how to start. There are others who are experiencing being unhoused or in tragic situations like the Hawaiian Islands. Lord, and then there are others with financial, spiritual, physical, emotional and mental health needs.

Lord, we call on you to hear our prayers for the things we mentioned above and the things we have not mentioned and we ask that You begin to turn those situations around. Lord, protect them and restore them.

Lord, continue to watch over the children returning to school. Protect them, the school campus, the teachers and administrators. Lord, protect them all from violence and unsafe conditions.

Lord, bring us all peace in our minds and hearts. Lord, remove anxiety and fear. Lord, comfort us as we lean on you to deliver us out of all afflictions in Jesus name, Amen.
