Good morning! Today, we will continue our Draw Closer series of daily prayers. 

Prayer Focus – Whatever

“⁸ Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. ⁹ Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.” – Philippians 4:8-9 NIV

Dear God.
Thank you for another day. Another day filled with the hope and expectation that you will be and are everything that we need.

Thank you for keeping us last night. Thank you for awakening us today. While we may have plans today, Lord God we know You have our ultimate plans in Your hand and we trust that You will lead us and not harm us.

Thank you for always being faithful. Thank you for reminding us that we can trust You in any circumstance. Thank you for the peace that You give even when things seem to be outside of our control. Lord, our temporary worries for the day are only temporary, but You are always the One who eliminates our anxiety over things and situations that do not matter in the long run. Lord, today we ask that You remove any spirit of anxiety/fear that may be in our hearts and minds. Lord, we ask that You replace it with an abundance of power, love, and self-control that only You can provide and sustain.

Lord, whatever is ahead of us this day we ask that You go before us. Lord, lead us in our conversations, in our actions, in our travel, in our relationships, in our marriages, in our singleness, in our parenting,  in our mentoring, in our leadership, in our employment or unemployment, in our volunteer work and our desires to make a difference in whatever we may be called to do. Lord, because of who You are and how faithful You have always been, we desire to focus our attention on anything that is excellent or praiseworthy – noble, right, true, pure and admirable.  Lord, help us to recognize others for those qualities today, but let those qualities begin in us today. May Your glory be reflected in whatever we do this day and all the days we are blessed to live ahead. Lord, wherever we lack these qualities begin to point them out to us and help us to course correct those areas in our lives.

Lord God, You are the God of whatever, may Your peace reign in us and those around us today.  May we be bold in our determination, humble in our actions, and generous in our display of these qualities.

Lord, keep us safe in our travels to and from. Continue to heal, provide, protect, and save. In Jesus name, amen.
