Day 2 of 30

Good morning! Today, we will continue our Draw  Closer series of daily prayers.

16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NIV

Dear God.

Thank you for today. Thank you for another opportunity to serve you and speak with you. Lord God, thank you for sustaining us through yesterday. Lord, I don’t know what we would do without you and I don’t want to find out. Lord, thank you for holding us and for keeping us. Thank you for healing us and being with us during some of the most difficult times in our life. It is only because of you that we are able to stand firm in our belief and remain secure in our salvation. Thank you.

Lord, we pray for those who do not know you. Lord, we ask that you open their hearts to accept you as their Lord and Savior, that their eyes will see, and that their ears will hear all that you are doing in this world, and become witnesses of Your amazing grace. Lord, equip us to share the gospel message in word and in deed so that others will see you in us, working through us. Keep us humble so that we will not boast, but simply live in gratitude for all that You have done for us.

Lord, there are days when it is easy to rejoice and then there are times when it is difficult to rejoice. Lord, help us through those times when it is difficult. Help us and strengthen our faith when what we hear, see, and/or experience does not lead to immediate rejoicing. Comfort us like only you can as we walk through the peaks and through the valleys.

Lord, may your words always bring us comfort and hope. Help us to draw closer to you and heal us. Lord, be with all the children throughout the world and protect them from predators and those who desire to bring harm to them. Lord, destroy the enemies schemes and plans to harm your children. Place a hedge of protection around them and keep them safe.

Lord, we pray for those who are married and ask that you heal their marriage, that you become and remain first in their marriage, and that they may find joy and peace in their commitment to be together. Lord, we pray for those who are not married and ask that you continue to guide them, comfort them, supply their needs, and be their hope.

Be with us today as we awake and go about our day. Lord, help us to rejoice, to continually draw near to you in prayer, and to give thanks in all circumstances.

In Jesus name we pray, amen.
