Good morning! “Be careful that you do not refuse to listen to the One who is speaking. For if the people of Israel did not escape when they refused to listen to Moses, the earthly messenger, we will certainly not escape if we reject the One who speaks to us from heaven! When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: “Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also.” This means that all of creation will be shaken and removed, so that only unshakable things will remain.” Hebrews 12:25-27 NLT.
God’s words are the same yesterday and today. We are blessed with a Bible that reminds us of His promises and yet, he still speaks to us and guides us.
Remember the days when we would ask a parent, friend or child, “are you listening to me?” Or state, “did you hear what i said?” Maybe you have gone as far as saying, “don’t make me say it again” or don’t make me repeat myself. ”
When was the last time you sat still to hear from God? _______________
Don’t forget to spend time with the Lord today. He wants to hear from you and I’m sure he has a word for you today – listen.
Lord God, your truth and existence is undeniable. Your love toward us remains full of grace and mercy. Lord, you speak to us in the good and bad times in our lives. You give us hope and light in the darkness. You bless us with discernment and wise counsel to help make decisions and pursue the plans you have for our lives. Lord, today open our ears to hear you. Give us peace as we trust you in areas of our lives that we have no control over and the areas we think we do. Help us hear…and be obedient to your word. Give us unshakable faith. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
