By Faith – Blessings, Worship and Confidence

Good morning! “It was by faith that Isaac promised blessings for the future to his sons, Jacob and Esau. It was by faith that Jacob, when he was old and dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons and bowed in worship as he leaned on his staffIt was by faith that Joseph, when he was about to die, said confidently that the people of Israel would leave Egypt. He even commanded them to take his bones with them when they left.” Hebrews 11:20-22 NLT

This family had faith that was shared through generations. Three generations are listed, but the fact that Joseph’s bones were taken out of Egypt signifies generations after also believed in God’s promise.

Now, please understand this family was far from perfect. They had a history of deception, betrayal and pain, but God was faithful. (This family’s story is written in the book of Genesis)

As we seek God and trust his promises are you sharing your faith with your family? Are you sharing the promises of God with your children, spouse, nieces/nephews, cousins, aunts/uncle’s, or siblings? When you leave this earth will your family have a biblical foundation to stand on or believe in?

Well, it’s not too late. Start praying for and over those family members. Keep praying for them to turn/return to the Lord and watch the Lord work.

Father God, thank you for the example of faith through generations. Thank you for being perfect even when we are not. Lord help us to live a life that is pleasing to you. Help us to be bold in our faith and in our prayers. Transform us to look more like you each day. Guide our thoughts and shift our minds to remain focused on you. Shield us from the arrows of our enemies and give us peace as we follow you. In Jesus name, Amen!

Enjoy your weekend!

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
