They Will Know Me

Happy Friday! This completes our look at Hebrews chapter 8.

“And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord.’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already. And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins. When God speaks of a “new” covenant, it means he has made the first one obsolete. It is now out of date and will soon disappear.” Hebrews 8:11-13 NLT

We can experience a true relationship with God, because of this new covenant. This relationship is open to everyone. Think about all of your relationships. Who knows every detail about your life? Who can you call any time, day or night?

For me, I know a lot of people, but no one knows me like God. There is no one who loves me, makes a way for me or that I can depend on like God. I may struggle with ny part of the relationship, but our faithful God promises to never leave me or forsake me. In fact, he promises to lead me, to be my rock, to protect me and shield me from my enemies. He also promises to do the same for you.

This weekend, invest in your relationship with God. Spend time with the One you want to spend eternity with.

Father God, thank you for getting us through another week. You are perfect in all your ways. Thank you for your unfailing love for us. Ignite fire in our hearts and minds with your truth. Help us to remain in you. Be with the broken-hearted. Strengthen them as they go through times of loss, grief and the days ahead. Touch the sick, heal them Lord. Be with those who are or have family members suffering from cancer, give them peace and comfort. Cover us Lord and help us to show compassion as you do. Help us to love like you do. Help us to understand your word more each day. – In Jesus name, Amen!

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!

Have a wonderful weekend.
