Good morning! “There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don’t seem to listen. You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead, you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God’s word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognize the difference between right and wrong.” Hebrews 5:11-14 NLT
Are you growing in the word? Is there evidence that you apply God’s word to your daily life? For example, I had to deal with a situation that would have sent my tongue into a 10 minute exercise, however the word of God replayed in my mind – be slow to speak and slow to anger (James 1:19-20). I thank God for the ability to meditate on his word and the reminder to deal with situations in his strength and with self-control. I’m not fully grown, but I’m growing each day.
How will you apply his word today?
Lord thank you for reminding us of our continuous need to grow in your word. Lord remind us/prompt us to become intentional about our maturity in the faith. Help us to imitate Christ’s love in our actions, speech and lives. We lift our families to you and ask that you be with them. Give them understanding of your truth and help us all to be more like you. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Keep seeking God’s truth! Keep trusting God’s word! Keep praying!
