Prayer

Father God, thank you for blessing us with a new day. Thank you for being faithful and loving all weekend. You have loved on us time and time again, by sustaining us, protecting us, and by holding us up on difficult and good days. Thank you for blessing us. Thank you for answering our prayers for those who grieve, those who had surgery, those who needed healing, comfort and peace.

Lord, as we begin this new week we ask that you lead us in a mighty way. Align our thoughts to your thoughts. Lord, whenever we are tempted to step out of alignment or revert to our old character allow your Holy Spirit to step in and give us discernment and wisdom to speak truth in love. Lord, give us favor in the workplace and in interviews. Lord, use are hands, feet and our mouths to make a difference in this world. Lord, let Your will be done on this earth.

Lord, as children, young adults, and adults prepare to return to school- keep them safe. Prepare the teachers/faculty who will be teaching and give them the heart to care for each student in their classroom. Lord, help them to see how they can help and give them the courage to help. Lord, keep the children engaged in learning and administrators acting in the best interest of students. Be with the parents/guardians and help them to be involved during the school year. Help them as they prepare their hearts for the separation that they will feel as their children leave for school. Help their employers to offer flexibility during the year that will allow them to participate in their kids events. Lord, provide for their finances so that the kids can eat, be well clothed, and have the supplies they need to be successful this school year.

Lord, continue to transform us and heal us. Change us, Lord, to be all that you have called us to be and continue to direct our steps. In Jesus name, amen.
