Happy Friday!
Bible verse – Psalm 32:1-5 NIV
“Blessed is the one
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
2 Blessed is the one
whose sin the Lord does not count against them
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
3 When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
4 For day and night
your hand was heavy on me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.
5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you
and did not cover up my iniquity.
I said, “I will confess
my transgressions to the Lord.”
And you forgave
the guilt of my sin.”
Reflection
Satan’s tactics include attempts to undermine the saving grace that was given to us through Christ Jesus. Satan often tells us the stories of our past, saying that we are not worthy or asking do we really believe.
Well sisters and brothers, that’s none of Satan’s business. When you repented and accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior all your sins were forgiven. You are blessed and highly favored. You are all that God says you are:
- Chosen
- Redeemed
- Loved
- Secure
- More than a conqueror
- A masterpiece
- Fearfully and wonderfully made
- A new creation
- A co-heir with Christ
Finally, sisters and brothers Galatians 5:1 reminds us “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Live in the freedom of Christ’s saving grace.
Prayer
Father God, we thank you for your amazing love, grace, mercy and forgiveness. Lord, we thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to save and redeem us. We thank you for all that you have done for us and continue to do. Lord, forgive us of our sins (known and unknown) and help us to turn away from them. Lord, continue to mature us in faith and in our walk with you. Direct our steps and shield us from Satan’s attacks on our minds. Lord, heal all those who are struggling mentally, emotionally, financially, physically and spiritually. Lord, ignite your love in their hearts, restore their faith, carefully and clearly guide us all in your ways. In Jesus name, amen.
