Good morning! Today is a new day filled with God’s glory. Take a look outside and see how the Lord has designed the skyline. Think about the good things He has done and the many things he has brought you through. Brothers and sisters, He is not done with us. Trust his plan, listen intently to his voice, and walk in faith. Enjoy today’s devotion and your day.

^“15 Then the Pharisees met together to plot how to trap Jesus into saying something for which he could be arrested. ¹⁶ They sent some of their disciples, along with the supporters of Herod, to meet with him. “Teacher,” they said, “we know how honest you are. You teach the way of God truthfully. You are impartial and don’t play favorites. ¹⁷ Now tell us what you think about this: Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?”” – Matthew 22:15-17 NLT

The Pharisees plot against Jesus thickens. Satan has their hearts and minds. He is using them to try to stop Jesus from spread the gospel truth or get rid of Jesus. Sadly, they don’t even realize Satan is guiding their thoughts. While Jesus is well aware of their intent to trap Him, he allows them to ask the question.

Sisters and brothers, Satan is on the prowl. He is using everything he can to divide the Kingdom of God. He is starting with the division of family, race, class and division inside the church. We need to open our eyes and see what the root cause is that is creating chaos and destruction, and pull up that bitter root. Start praying out those things that are not of God. Then keep praying. If there is chaos and confusion in your home start praying over your home. If there is chaos with your children, start praying over your children day and night (throughout the day). If there is chaos on the job start praying in your office space, over your desk, over your phone and for your boss and co-workers. If it’s division in the church, God’s church start praying for God to take over. Whatever it is, pray over it and ask the Lord to equip you with discernment and wisdom to learn from it and walk through it.

Father God, thank you for today. Thank you for your mercy and grace. Lord, continue to teach us your ways. Lord, direct our steps and align our will to yours. Lead us to the path that takes us directly to you. Lord, you know those who are struggling with chronic disease, pain and COVID-19 please touch them and give them relief from their pain. Lord, give them energy to do things for you and their home. Lord, cover those who are homeless by choice and without a choice. Lord, protect the innocent children. Lord, today come into our homes, into our families, into our churches, into our government and send your Holy Spirit to regulate the evil that is trying to take over and the spread of the virus. Lord, have your way in our homes, in our hearts, in our children, in our churches and government. Lord, break the chains of the enemy. Lord, equip us for the journey we have today. Lord, suit us up in Your armor so that we can stand against the enemies schemes. Give us patience as we spend more time in our homes and with family members. Lord, shield those who are suffering from in-home abuse and abusers. Lord, we pray for those who are struggling financially, Lord provide for every need. In Jesus name, amen.
