Happy Friday! Sisters and brothers, this week has been filled with information on how our behavior or character in Christ should be. Stay encouraged, Jesus loves you. He will give you the wisdom and discernment to live as one who is in Christ. Enjoy today’s reading and your weekend.
“21 For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered[l] for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.
22 He never sinned,
nor ever deceived anyone.[m]
23 He did not retaliate when he was insulted,
nor threaten revenge when he suffered.
He left his case in the hands of God,
who always judges fairly.
24 He personally carried our sins
in his body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin
and live for what is right.
By his wounds
you are healed.
25 Once you were like sheep
who wandered away.
But now you have turned to your Shepherd,
the Guardian of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:21-25 NLT
Sisters and brothers, let us continue to do good.
Father God, thank you for your son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for our sins. Lord, forgive us for sins we have committed (known and unknown). Lord, teach us your ways and help us to apply your word/truth to our daily lives. Lord, thank you for this weeks verses and the redirection of our actions. Lord, continue to improve our character. Continue to lead us with your loving kindness. Lord, we desire to be more like you. Lord, change us. In Jesus name, amen.
