You Love Him

Good morning. There is always an opportunity for us to respond to someone with love and compassion. Have you ever experienced the joy on someone’s face or in their heart when someone does something kind for them, especially when it doesn’t cost them anything? Well today, in 1 Peter we uncover some of that joy. Join me as we continue to read the 1st chapter.

“8 You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.” – 1 Peter 1:8-9 NLT

Yesterday, we read that there will be suffering in trials, but we have a living hope in Christ Jesus that gives us joy in the midst of those trials. Today, we know that we haven’t seen the Lord, but we have joy in knowing one day we will see him face to face. Brothers and sisters, John 20:29 NLT says, ”
Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who believe without seeing me.”
As we continue to grow in our relationship with the Lord, we can trust His plan for our lives and rejoice in the fact that there is salvation for our souls. Are you ready to trust him even more?

What are some of the areas in your life that you need to trust Jesus more? Is it your finances? Is it your marriage/relationship/singleness? Is it your career or education? Whatever it is, put your trust in Him who knows everything about you. He is our salvation and our shield. Listen to his voice, align it with the truth of God’s word (the Bible) and allow the Lord to direct your path.

Father God, thank you for loving us first. Thank you for unveiling our eyes, to the truth of the gospel message. Lord, when we are uncertain about your love for us, remind us of your Son who gave it all on the cross for us. Lord, thank you for salvation for our souls. Lord, thank your for intervening in our lives and making a way for us to experience pure joy and salvation in you. Lord thank you for your forgiveness and mercy. Lord, as we release areas of our lives to you, help us to see the changes. Not that we live for others expectations of us, but help others to recognize how you continue to change us so that they too will learn how to trust you in trials and in the good times. Lord, continue to change us so that we may be a good witness to those in the world. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
