His Word Remains

Good morning! Today, we are continuing our reading inin the book of Matthew. Jesus is still responding to the questions from the disciples. He has been speaking and now he is teaching a lesson. Join me as we read Matthew 24 verses 32-36.

32 “Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. 34 I tell you the truth, this generation will not pass from the scene until all these things take place. 35 Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

36 “However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.” – Matthew 24:32-36 NLT

The confident reminders are Jesus will return and “His words will never disappear” (v.35b). Sisters and brothers, while things may be going crazy around you, hold on to the word of God that never changes and will never disappear. Our God is faithful and His words are true. Spend some time reading the word on your own.

LORD thank you for another day. Thank you for your love toward us. Lord thank you for forgiveness of sins. Lord, we desire to know you more, teach us your ways and truth everyday. Lord, write your words on our hearts so that we will not depart from them. Lord, guide us in the way we should go. Lord, open the eyes of the spiritually blind. Lord, give them sight and a surrendered heart. Lord, be with us and remind us of all your promises. Help us to be bold and be a light in the darkness, on our jobs, in our schools, in our families and in our churches. Continue to shape and mold us into who you want us to be. Use us, LORD. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep praying, Keep trusting, Keep reading the Bible.
