Good morning! It’s Monday, a new day for you and I. Last week we read on the warnings that Jesus said would be the signs that indicate the end is near. While we don’t know the day or hour when He will return, we know He is coming back. Enjoy today’s reading. Have a wonderful day.
“29 “Immediately after the anguish of those days, the sun will be darkened,
the moon will give no light,
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.[Isa 13:10; 34:4; Joel 2:10]
30 And then at last, the sign that the Son of Man is coming will appear in the heavens, and there will be deep mourning among all the peoples of the earth. And they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.[Daniel 7:13] 31 And he will send out his angels with the mighty blast of a trumpet, and they will gather his chosen ones from all over the world[i]—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.” – Matthew 24:29-31 NLT
Remember last week we read the verse that said, “but, don’t panic.” Remember last week we read about being God’s chosen. Today, we are reminded again of the hope we have in Christ Jesus, the reminder of the faithful promise that “the Son of Man will send his angel’s to gather his chosen ones (we as believers) from all over the world-from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.”
Sisters and brothers, our lives are in the hands of a loving God, our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit who comforts, releases power and guides us. Trust Him.
For those of you reading today that don’t know Jesus or have not accepted Him as your Lord and Savior, it’s not too late. We would love to pray with you, for you or a family member. Send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Father God, thank you for another day. Thank you for another opportunity to draw closer to you. Lord, on the day of your return we want to be found in you. Lord, there is no greater love than the love you have for us. Lord, prepare our hearts and minds to serve you today and all the days of our lives. Lord, remove our fears, timidity and anxiousness. Lord, restore our thinking, pour into us more love, your Holy Spirit power and and give us a sound mind (a mind that is a peace). Lord, we declare your victory over the enemy and know because of You the enemy has no hold or authority over us. So today Lord, we give you are struggles, we give you our doubts and we surrender all the things that hold us back from following and serving you. Lord, equip us, ensure our armor is on and be with us as we go out in the world today. Lord, we are ready to battle for our families, for our family members who don’t know you, for communities who haven’t heard about you, for those who are lost so that they may be found in you. Lord, we press forward in the name of Jesus. We have the victory in you! In Jesus name, amen.
