Good morning! The Lord calls you His treasure. You are His chosen people. You are God’s possession – He loves you. Enjoy today’s devotion. 

^“44 “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. In his excitement, he hid it again and sold everything he owned to get enough money to buy the field. – Matthew 13:44 NLT

Finding out about the Kingdom of Heaven is one of the greatest treasures we can discovery. In our excitement and in our obedience we surrender our lives…everything to have the greatest treasure. The treasure of salvation through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness of our sins so that we can be reconciled to the Father. We can’t buy our salvation or forgiveness of sins, the Lord freely gives it to all who believe. 

God has made a way for us to be with him for eternity. Today is the perfect day to say Lord, when I die I want to make sure I spend eternity with you.

Are you ready to repent of your sins (known and unknown) and turn or return back to God? _______

The Bible says, “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” Romans 10:9-10 NLT

If you believe this, pray with me:

“Father God, thank you for your testimony. Thank you for sending your son Jesus Christ to save us. Lord, we confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that Jesus Christ is your son, and that he died on the cross that we may be forgiven and have eternal life. Father God, we believe Jesus rose from the dead and we ask you to come into our lives to be our Lord and Savior. Father God, we repent of our sins and because your word is true we confess that we are born again believers and cleansed by the blood of Jesus.” Amen.

Father God thank you for choosing us. Lord, you could have left us hopeless and in despair,  but you didn’t and we thank you for that. Thank you for the hope we have in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiveness of sins. Lord, you are good. Lord, be with us – pour out your Holy Spirit into our hearts and let overflow in our speech and actions. Lord, equip us with all we need so that we will be fully pleasing to you. Lord, no matter what today brings, we still chose you. Lord, help us to stand firm in our faith and trust your will for our lives. Lord, even when we don’t understand what you are doing, help us to trust your outcome. Lord, help us to see you in the midst. Help us to keep our eyes focused on you and your promises. In Jesus name, amen.
