He Knew the Plan

Good morning! Enjoy today’s devotion as we continue in Matthew chapter 12. Have a good day.

“15 But Jesus knew what they were planning. So he left that area, and many people followed him. He healed all the sick among them, 16 but he warned them not to reveal who he was. 17 This fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah concerning him:

18 “Look at my Servant, whom I have chosen.
He is my Beloved, who pleases me.
I will put my Spirit upon him,
and he will proclaim justice to the nations.
19 He will not fight or shout
or raise his voice in public.
20 He will not crush the weakest reed
or put out a flickering candle.
Finally he will cause justice to be victorious.
21 And his name will be the hope
of all the world.”[Isaiah 42:1-4] ” – Matthew 12:15-21 NLT

God chose his only son, Jesus to save us. Even though the wicked were plotting against him, Jesus remained focused on the mission. He knew why he was sent, he knew what was ahead, yet He remained focused on God’s will. He healed the sick and set the captives free.

Brothers and sisters, we have so many things thrown at us each day. Given that may not change in this life time, let us seek the Lord so that we can remain focused on his plan for us, while he strengthens and keep us until his return. Put on your armor. Share the good news of the gospel message. And rejoice in knowing the living God, the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

Father God, thank you for being so gracious to us. Thank you for your unfailing love. Lord, there is no one like you. Lord, cover us with the fullness of your love and mercy.  Lord, forgive us of our sins (known and unknown). Lord, continue to heal and save. Lord use us and lead our paths every day. In Jesus name, amen.

Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
