Happy Monday! The Lord has been faithful in the small and great things in our lives. He hears our prayers and he awakens our spirit to draw close to Him. May the Lord give you his peace as he continues to reveal himself to you. Enjoy today’s devotion and have a blessed Monday.
“25 At that time Jesus prayed this prayer: “O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to the childlike. 26 Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!
27 “My Father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” – Matthew 11:25-30 NLT
Brothers and sisters, the Lord is willing and able to reveal himself to you and those you have been praying for to come to the Lord. Our Lord and Savior has been entrusted to all things, even the things you tend to worry about. He knows you and he loves you. He has all things under his control.
Today, give your burdens to him. Give him absolutely every single worry and care. Open up your heart and invite him into teach you and give you rest for your soul.
As the song ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus’ written by Alan Jackson says, What a privilege it is to carry everything to God in prayer.
Will you give your burdens to the Lord? ________
Father God, thank you for opening our eyes and revealing your Word to us. Lord, it is only you who knows the beginning from the end. Lord, touch our hearts and our spirits to live a life that is pleasing to you. Lord, we want to be in your perfect will. Lord, continue to reveal your plans and purpose for our lives. Lord, use us in a mighty way to share in the work of building your kingdom. Lord, right now we pray for the lost, the least and the last. Lord, we ask that you will restore them back to you. Lord, we ask that you will unveil their eyes so that they can see you. Lord, strengthen our faith, build us up in your holy name. Lord, guide us and teach us to depend on you in all the areas of our lives. Lord, go before us today and shield us from the attacks of the enemy. Lord, we leave our burdens to you. Teach us and increase our faith so that we will find rest for our souls in you alone. Lord, equip us and change us. Be with as we go through our day and let us feel your presence with us. In Jesus name, amen.
Keep seeking! Keep trusting! Keep praying!
